Sikkim
This is one of the finest states of India in the tourism point of view. Sikkim is situated in North East India bordered by Nepal, Bhutan and The People Republic of China. West Bengal borders the southern tip. Sikkim is divided into four state East, West, North and South District.
It is the landlocked state of India nestle in the Himalayan range from 920 ft to 2800ft. A small but besutiful state with huge diversification welcome you to the most excotic east Himalaya which claim its pride of places across 21 old glacier, 20 high altitude lakes sch as Tsomgo Lake Gurudonzgmar Lake Khecheopalri Lakes, Memencho Lake etc, 5 hot spring, several waterfalls & of course its flora and fauna.
The state has many hot springs known for its medicinal and therapeutic values. The major ones are at Phurcha Chu (Reshi), Yumthang, Borang, Ralang, Taram Chu and Yumey Samdongetc. Sikkim is one of the bio diversify hotspot of the world with exotic flora and endangered fauna with 600 species of orchid, 600 species of birds & butterflies, 36 species of Rhododendron and many more. Rhododendron burst the whole valley of Sikkim with colours during spring time.
Sikkim with its screne beauty of monesteries, chanting of monks, tradition, culture wil enhance the peace & tranquility of the environment. Enchey monastery, Rumtek monastery, Ranka Monastery, Phodong monastery, Do – drul Chorten (Stupa), Sanga Choling Monastery etc are the jewels for Sikkim.
There are four districts namely East Sikkim, West Sikkim, North Sikkim and South Sikkim and the district capitals are Gangtok, Geyzing, Mangan and Namchi.
